As a teacher, Kate instigates others to create their own unique Portrait Narratives in paint and word using Intentional Creativity. With mindfulness and intuitive painting, this image making process is an invisible bridge between the creative and canvas, where intention and inquiry become a potent dialogue for discovery, self-empowerment, healing and transformations.

Kate’s images in acrylic and mixed media express a deep listening to the interconnection of life’s inner and outer landscapes. Compelled to create portraits with a social conscience, her images celebrate diversity and embody a strength born of resilience.

Kate’s passion for painting was sparked as a teenager by her artist mother and her love for the natural world.  She has studied art in San Francisco and in community with renowned artists Shiloh Sophia McCloud and Sue Hoya Sellars. She remains an active creative in San Francisco, California.
